Get Ready to Be Amazed

When you take your first step into the museum, you will be initially unsure of where to look, and it is completely normal! The process of becoming oriented takes some time. So you will locate a corner and start to gradually notice that day, which was both fascinating and terrifying. The more the depth of the 3D features draws you in, the more amazed you become. You experience a sense of time travel. Soldiers from the Ottoman and Byzantine empires are around you. The cannon fire erupts from one side, and the cavalry charges from the other, the clash of swords raising your hair, not to mention the janissary march steadily getting louder. You are engaged in a bloody conflict. Even knowing who would win, the 3D is exciting.

You can't help but turn around a few times as you move toward the steps leading to the exit. The soldiers seem to be following you, and the sky seems to remain unchanged. You wonder who made this past a reality as each step puts you closer to Istanbul's present. It appears as though they are retaking Constantinople.

Details of the Museum

An intricate bus station building that was well-known to Istanbul residents originally stood in the center of Topkapi, but today there is a lush park instead. In addition to welcoming families and those looking for a respite, Topkapi City Park also houses the Panorama Museum. A 3,000-square-meter portion of the park is occupied by the museum. The project's coordinator is artist and cartoon director Hasim Vatandas, who is also the project's creator. Eight artists changed history in this initiative, which was initiated in 2005.

One of the most significant historical events has been revived in the last three years. Around 10,000 people can be seen in this distinctive panorama. The fact that this museum is the only one in the world with a 360-degree panoramic view is the most astounding aspect of it. The observers watch the images from a platform 14 meters away from the artwork in order to properly appreciate the 3D impact. Imitations of cannons, gun carriages, and powder kegs have been positioned in front of the panorama to give the impression that the conquest took place 555 years ago today. The perception of reality is enhanced by sound effects.
